I’ve been with eTrade for about 6 months. I haven’t had many problems except for a problem opening my account. I had to send in the paper work twice, as it was somehow lost the first time. Possibly a problem with the postal system. Once the received my application, there was a three week delay before my account was ready for trading. I thought this was a bit long to wait, as I have had other accounts set up in less time. Other then the account setup delays, I haven’t had problems using their online trading platform. It’s pretty simple to use and learn. I’ve never traded online before, but was able to figure it out within about half an hour. I haven’t had to call them up, and when I did they were knowledgeable and helped me out without being passed around. The question was pretty simple though. For the low fee, I don’t expect much customer service.
